Kirsten's passion for art and design grew from attending the University of the Arts London. Her design skills developed and were encouraged from her BA(Hons) from the London College of Communication and her love for art evolved from her MA at Chelsea College of Art where she collaborated in exhibitions with other international artists, designers and architects.
Working as a graphic designer has given her a strong passion for bold illustrations and prints, often seen in her work fused with the urban environment. She also toys with the contrast of nature with the built environment in which we live, creating a juxtaposition in her work with the fluid organic to the solid and structural.
Her creativity was fuelled as a young child from the creative environment that encompassed her. From designing and making outfits for her cindy dolls, to drawing garfield all over her bedroom walls, Kirsten's easy ability to cross creative fields is still practised amalgamating elements from drawing, designing, painting, printing and creating.
A main aspect of creating is sharing that talent and passion with others which Kirsten has started to discover through workshops. Not only with independent workshops with people wanting to get in touch with their creative side but also with children for the London Borough of Waltham Forest.
