After many years teaching ceramics in schools, sharon then took a career break to focus on her long love of textiles. from completing her City & Guilds, part 1 & 2, in textile design she then took her passion further to complete the HNC & HND, gaining a distinction and twice achieving student of the year, which she now enjoys teaching to a wide range of students.
Her instinctive ability to grasp creative skills led to continued studies within beading, machine embroidery, feltmaking as well as many more, often leading to many exhibitions, collaborating with other artists. Her natural communication skills now see her teaching all levels of City & Guilds and creative workshops, where she enjoys passing on her knowledge and passion of contemporary textiles.
Sharon is happiest when beavouring away in her studio working on her latest creations with the hum of the sewing machine in the background.
