After many years teaching ceramics in schools, sharon then took a career break to focus on her long love of textiles. From completing her City & Guilds, part 1 & 2, in textile design she then took her passion further to complete the HNC & HND, gaining a distinction and twice achieving student of the year. Her natural communication skills now see her teaching all levels of City & Guilds and creative workshops, where she enjoys passing on her extensive knowledge and passion.

Her instinctive ability to grasp creative skills led to continued studies within a wide range of creative fields including beading, machine embroidery and feltmaking, leading to exhibitions and collaborating with other artists and textile artists.

Sharon is happiest when beavering away in her studio working on her latest creations with the hum of the sewing machine in the background.
